GirlsCode

About us

GirlsCode Program (Since 2021)

Our flagship program aims to empower girls through coding education, equipping them with the skills to become software engineers and leaders in the ICT sector. Through Girlscode, we are helping bridge the gender gap and inspire the next generation of female tech leaders.

Pathways for Prosperity – Mongolia’s Digital Readiness Assessment

In collaboration with the University of Oxford and the Melinda Gates Foundation, we conducted a comprehensive assessment of Mongolia’s digital readiness. This initiative is part of our broader effort to promote digital inclusion and support national strategies for technological advancement.

Cybersecurity Conference

In partnership with the U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia, we organized a national cybersecurity conference aimed at raising awareness about digital safety.

Who we are

The Nomadic Girls Association in the Digital Age was established in 2021 with the mission to address gender inequality in the ICT sector and bridge the regional digital divide. Our NGO is dedicated to empowering and training future female software engineers, particularly from rural and underserved areas. Founded by Ms. Bolor-Erdene Battsengel, the first female head of the Communications and Information Technology Authority of Mongolia, our organization is at the forefront of advocating for inclusivity and digital skills development for women in technology.

Current Activities

1. GirlsCode Program

We continue to expand Girlscode, offering more opportunities for girls to learn software development, coding, and digital literacy. The program is growing to reach more communities across Mongolia.

2. AI Academy

Our online platform, the AI Academy, provides access to coding and AI courses, offering three levels of training. The platform is designed to help marginalized groups develop critical skills for the future job market in AI and technology.

4. AI Forum

We are actively working on organizing Mongolia’s first-ever AI Forum, fostering discussions on AI, its societal impacts, and human rights in the age of technology. This forum will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, experts and young generations to engage in meaningful dialogue on AI’s future.
