Girls Code is a nonprofit program that aims to reduce gender inequality in the ICT sector and the regional digital divide by preparing future female software engineers. The program was initiated by Ms. Bolor-Erdene Battsengel, the first female leader of the Communications and Information Technology Authority of Mongolia in 2021.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
The program provides foundational knowledge and skills of programming as well as it supports participants to further study in foreign universities and colleges in the field of computer science. Participants will also explore opportunities provided by the program, including internship, mentorship, and networking.
HOW TO APPLY
The admission is announced on the program’s official website and social media in April. Our participants are selected through multiple stages of competitive selection, including application, Math and English tests, and interview. Math & English tests include standard tasks in the high school curriculum.
In the final round, successful applicants are invited to interview with the selection committee, which consists of representatives from the organizing team, teachers, and partner companies.
