It is aimed to empower girls and educate future female software engineers
ABOUT THE PROJECT
At the initiative of B.Bolor-Erdene, Chairwomen of the Communications and Information Technology Authority, the “Girls’ Code Writing Program” was successfully organized for two months from June 10, 2021, to August 10, 2021.
The main objective of the project is to reduce gender inequality in Mongolia’s telecommunications and information technology sector, eliminate the digital divide, and increase the number of female software engineers.
At the end of the eight-week program, the girls created an interesting work, including website design, games, financial software, emergency alert systems, traditional lessons turned into online games, and the transition of entire grades 1-5 to electronic format.
12 % of the specialized human resources are women.
